Strata Credit Union joined forces with TruEdge for the fourth consecutive project since beginning their relationship in 2018. This project focused on a full interior and exterior remodel of Strata’s original 1978 headquarters and branch facility. The goal was to modernize an outdated administrative layout, right-size the oversized branch space, and create a refreshed environment that reinforced Strata’s long-term commitment to its members while providing employees with a modern, functional workplace.

Maintaining Operations During Construction
The branch needed to remain open throughout construction, and portions of the administrative staff had to continue working on-site. This required extensive coordination to minimize disruption while maintaining safety, security, and member service.
The Challenges
Lack of Clear Branch Identity and Security Concerns
The building’s original architecture lacked a clearly defined main entrance or visible branch presence. Multiple access points created confusion for members and presented ongoing security and safety concerns around the property. Also, as a nearly 50-year-old facility, the building required major exterior and site improvements to address long-term maintenance needs and ensure the property’s future longevity.
Outdated Facility and Inefficient Layout
The original building housed both the headquarters and branch operations in a dated 1978 layout that no longer supported operational efficiency or the desired member experience. Both the administrative and branch spaces required significant modernization.
To maintain uninterrupted service during construction, TruEdge implemented a carefully phased construction plan that allowed the branch and portions of the administrative team to remain operational throughout the remodel. Close coordination with subcontractors and staff ensured efficient progress while minimizing disruption to daily business activities.
The team also reimagined the building’s entrance to create a more visible, welcoming, and secure branch presence. By simplifying access points and improving visibility, the redesigned entry enhanced member navigation, strengthened security, and established a stronger identity within the community.
In addition to the interior renovations, TruEdge completed extensive exterior and infrastructure upgrades including new asphalt, sidewalks, landscaping, roofing, HVAC systems, and exterior finishes to extend the life of the 1978 facility for decades to come.
The final result was a modernized, highly functional headquarters and branch environment that revitalized the member experience, improved operational efficiency, reinforced Strata’s commitment to the community, and further strengthened the long-term partnership between Strata Credit Union and TruEdge.
